Christian Persecution

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

“Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.”

(Matthew 5:10-12)

Persecution is coming to the western countries as Christians rise up to take a stand in these last days. Right now, we see much compromise in the churches but this needs to change if the church is to be what God wants it to be. God is telling the churches to repent of their compromise and worldliness. The church is fearful and submissive to the government. The first place of the church is not to submit to the government but to God Himself, as we take orders from Him and His Son Jesus Christ who is the Head of the church. Then after that, we submit to the government at God’s command, as good citizens and examples of uprightness. We are not rebels, but when the government goes against our faith and conscience and the Holy Bible, we choose God over the government. If this causes conflict, so be it.

God is not the God of multifaith, homosexuality, abortion, fornication, etc., but more and more we see the government and society promote these “values”. These may be the values of society but not of God and His word. There will be a conflict because there are two kingdoms at war: the kingdom of God and the kingdom of the Devil. Many professing churches seem more and more to be identifying with the values of this world, instead of Christ and His teachings. If you cannot take a strong stand on these issues then what spirit are you of?

Persecution will come, through people who are wicked and blind and misunderstand Christians and what they are about. Christians must be strong and take their stand in these last days as the spirit of antichrist becomes more prevalent in our society.

No compromise is the key!

In the year 2020, we have seen church meetings being made illegal by the government, for short periods. While some may agree with this, and stand by the government’s decision, as Christians we should be deeply alarmed by this. This is the type of governmental control only witnessed in other countries until now such as communist countries and Islamic countries. This is the kind of stuff we read about in books!

We are seeing Christians become more and more excluded from society to where now they are the “bad guys” in society. Even mainstream media promotes wicked values and subtly undermines the truth of the Bible. Big Tech watches closely what Christian ministries are saying and often removes posts, videos, or whole accounts. We are Christians living in a very unchristian world. We need to be strong and continue to declare the whole gospel wherever we go.

“Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”

(Matthew 5:14-16)

“The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe.”

(Proverbs 29:25)

“And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.

But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.”

(Luke 12:4-5)

We need to pray for the persecuted church worldwide and stand together for Christ’s sake.

“Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body.”

(Hebrews 13:3)
