A Great Chasm of Nothingness: The Apostate Church

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

We are witnessing today in Christendom a great apostasy, a turning away from the Lord and turning to that which is false. Many of the churches are false and God said that these days would come.

“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.”

(2 Timothy 4:3-4 King James Version)

This means a clear rejection of God and scriptural truth and embracing that which is counterfeit. They think they are saved but truly they are lost!

In many of the modern-day churches there is lust, the love of money, pride, the love of self, vanity, self-promotion, immorality, the wisdom of this world, spiritual blindness, carnality, covered over with a spiritual exterior. They have brought down the standard in God’s house to their level, and God is very angry. Demon spirits have entered in among the people. Most of the churches seen around today are not of the Lord and not doing God’s will. So-called pastors who are nothing more than deceivers out for their own gain, and compromisers. There is foolishness and no fear of God, among the people.

God will expose and judge this false move of Christianity. It is not of God but is opposed to God. It refuses to embrace God’s word but is a law unto itself. They make up their own rules and God is angry because they suppress God’s word, but at the same time profess to be doing His will. God does not accept this and many people who thought they were ok with God will find out different on judgment day. No true repentance among these people, no brokenness, and no true obedience. There is no price of discipleship only a sinner-friendly, hippy-type Jesus being presented who is pretty much ok with everything. Jesus is not as understanding with sin as He is made out to be. Jesus warned,

“And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:

Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.”

(Mark 9:43-44)

“Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”

(Matthew 7:21-23)

Jesus demands that we die to self, not be full of ourselves. Whatever happened to taking up your cross and denying oneself?

“Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.”

(Matthew 16:24)

Another Jesus is being presented which is not the Jesus of the Bible. It says we are to be on guard against another Jesus being presented:

“For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.”

(2 Corinthians 11:4)

“But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.”

(Galations 1:8)

What a blind generation this truly is: they think they have so much yet have so little. The following describes many in the church today:

“Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked.”

(Revelation 1:17)

We are to examine ourselves to see if we be in the faith:

“Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?”

(2 Corinthians 13:5)

This means that it is actually possible to think we are Christians on our way to heaven when we are actually not.

Much of the church today is apostate. They have departed from the true faith. God has forsaken them because they have forsaken God. They have departed from the faith:

“Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils.”

(1 Timothy 4:1)

There is such emptiness in the churches because they are void of God. There is nothing there because God is not there. Everything from the music to the preaching is empty; it is nothing. It is nothing preaching to nothing about nothing. The worship is nothing worshipping nothing with nothing. Why? Because nothing is there! God has gone and nothing is left but a great empty chasm of nothingness. The music is so empty and the preaching is so empty. There is no touch of God on anything and no evidence that His Spirit is even there at all! And why? Because they have rejected God! They have rejected His anointing and rejected His ways, and all they are left with is nothing! And they would not have it any other way.

“The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?”

(Jeremiah 5:31)

There is a spiritual war going on, and make no mistake about it, God will go to war with these apostate churches and will bring them down. Jesus said the following to the church in Pergamos:

“Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.”

(Revelation 2:16)

Don’t think that God will stand idly by while His house is desecrated by worldly sinners, lukewarm Christians, and apostasy leading “pastors”, and do nothing. You do these things against Him, and He will take action against you!

God is not part of the gospel of accommodation. The church accommodates the sinner and worldly Christians. We should be accommodating God, not the sinner. You can accommodate the sinner all day long, but God will just leave, and let you get on with things.

People want to keep their worldliness and profess to know God. In these apostate churches, they have found a means of doing so.

This is no joke; we are talking here about apostasy! People that think they know God but don’t. Rebellious people that will not submit to God and God’s way of doing things. It is the same as in Isaiah’s day when God said regarding His own people that they did not want to hear God’s word:

“That this is a rebellious people, lying children, children that will not hear the law of the LORD.”

(Isaiah 30:9)

You have brought in your worldliness, and driven out God! You will be judged by Him for your wickedness!

Some of these modern churches are so wicked going back to the old liturgy, observing liturgical seasons such as Advent and Lent, and seeking unity with the mainline apostate denominations such as Anglican and Roman Catholic churches. God is not taking the church back to the old darkness the church was taken out of. It is not God that is leading the church in this direction but the apostate leaders themselves.

Look what God says about false teachers leading the church into apostasy:

“These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;

Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.”

(Jude 1:12-13)

A sinner-friendly Jesus is being presented who is ok with tattoos, skinny jeans, worldly Christians, and who is just all-around loving. They forget a few key aspects:

  • Jesus did go to sinners, but He preached repentance to them (Luke 13:1-5)
  • Jesus warned sternly of the dangers of hell (Mark 9:43-48)
  • Jesus cleansed His temple of sinners by driving them out with a whip (John 2:14-17)
  • God demands holiness (Hebrews 12:14)
  • God is against worldliness (James 4:4)
  • In the last days, there will be an abundance of false teachers and apostate Christians (2 Timothy 4:1-4)
  • Jesus will spew lukewarm Christians out of His mouth (Revelation 3:16)

God’s judgment is coming!

“For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?”

(1 Peter 4:17)

Warning: God is coming for every one of you worldly, selfish, blind, and compromised Christians, and every one of you false leaders that are leading the people of God in unrighteousness! Repent.
